Landlord telling us to evict from our pagdi property or we have to pay

I am a 70 year old woman… We have been staying in pagdi system since 35 years… paid the then amount in cash to the landlady without any agreement or document. Have been paying monthly rent of around?500 and receiving a simple bill in return. Now the landlady is telling us that she is got a builder and will demolish present building(3 floors) and build a new taller building and if we want a house then we will have to pay more money. Now all of us tenants are poor and can?t afford, so she is telling us that she will give us a small amount(almost nothing) and kick us out. We told her we have rent bills, how can she do that?! we also have some right! She is saying once the building is demolished and razed to the ground… she will have all the right to do what she wants and then the tenants cannot do anything… so it?s better you take money and leave or pay hefty amount and stay!!! I?m staying in my daughters house now in fear of her. What should I do? Would you kindly assist!!!

Regarding Facing some issue with landlord

I am staying in a rental flat since 1.5 years. Ceiling leakage problem is happening since then and I too informed landlord in time. He worked on it. But still the problem wasn’t resolved. Plaster is falling from ceiling all day since 20 days. Hence, I told him my decision about changing the house. But I mentioned the notice period of 15 days rather than 1 month. Because the problem is increasing day by day and my family is facing problems alot. Especially, my two years old puts it in the mouth. But landlord is not letting us leave before 1 month. But if I am having problems then I have a right to leave.
As well as have read some where -“A tenant has the right to a house that is fit to be lived in. Unsafe conditions, such as holes in the floor, plaster coming down from the ceiling, leakage, bad wiring, and the like are considered unfit. It is the landlord?s responsibility to see that the house meets the minimum standards of accommodation”. is this correct?
Kindly suggest.

Improper Deposit deduction and interfering objects of the tenants

Hi!We were 4 Bachelor girls staying in 2BHK flat in Mumbai. Our rent agreement finished in April. But as we could not find the replacement for a girl who left,we were given a short notice of 20 days to vacate the flat- by 15th May.While we were packing, the owner started renovating his sofa while we used to go to office.By the end of the week,we realized that they threw away some of our things- rugs, yoga mats study tables and most importantly- my genuine leather rolls worth Rs 5600.They told that they threw it thinking its garbage. When I got mad on this, the owner lady threatened me that she now cut our money from deposit. When they gave the deposit back, they gave no written breakdown of the damages they claimed on us and cut 5k per girl,so total 20k for the damages of the total deposit of Rs 1.5 lac. They are not providing any breakdown in written.I went to police to complain about my thrown leather. Then they finally agreed to give 50% of my loss but Ihave not transferred the money yet
