If a person is under trial for smuggling of gold worth rs 3100000 then is his offence a bailable offence?? If yes how and when to apply for bail and in how many days the bail will be granted ??

If you are not evading tax above 50 lacs he will be granted bail in the first hearing as this is a bailable offence. You can retain your gold by paying 36.5% of Duty.
