If you have missed the due date for filing your return, you are still allowed to file it before 31st Dec 2018 by paying a late fee of Rs 5,000. However, if you are filing after 31 December 2018, you will need to pay a late fee of Rs 10,000. Note also that the time frame for filing belated result for the financial year 2017-18 expires on 31 March 2019.
