  2. Enter the 12 digit number. If it is a partnership, then the partner applyingr shall give his Aadhaar number. If it is a company, then the authorized signatory who is applying on behalf of the company must give his Aadhar number.
  3. After this, you will receive an OTP (One Time Password) on your number that is linked with the Aadhaar card.
  4. Next step is to fill out the Udyog Aadhaar form. The following is asked in the form-
    i. Aadhaar Number.
    ii. Name of the owner.
    iii. Social category (this is the caste of the person).
    iv. Gender.
    v. Physically handicapped.
    vi. Name of the enterprise (it should contain the name of the legal entity that will conduct the business. An applicant can have more than one enterprise doing the business and each can be registered for a separate Udyog Aadhaar that too with the same Aadhaar number.)
    vii. Type of organization (there are various types of organizations such as sole proprietorship, partnership firm, Hindu undivided family (HUF), private limited company, public limited company, co-operative, self-help group and limited liability partnership).
    vii. Pan number (it is mandatory for LLP, company, Co-operative Society and optional for the rest).
    viii. Location of the plant.
    ix. Official address including mobile and email address. 
    x. Date of commencement.
    xi. Previous registration details (if any).
    xii. Bank details (this will include IFSC code and bank account number).
    xiii. Major activity (manufacturing or service).
    xiv. NIC code (national industrial classification code).
    xv. Person employed.
    xvi. Investment in plant and machinery.
    xvii. Details of the direct industry center.
  5. After completing the form enter the captcha and then click on submit.


For offline registration follow the steps stated below:

  1. In case you do not have an Aadhaar card then apply for same.
  2. The application for Udyog Aadhaar shall be made by the District Industry Centre (DIC) or MSME – DI.
  3. The following documents have to be submitted to the DIC or MSME-DI:
    i. Aadhaar enrolment ID slip.
    ii. Any valid address proof.
  4. Fill out the form.
  5. Submit the form to the DIC or MSME-DI.

Documents Required for MSME Registration in Kolkata

The main requirement for obtaining Udyog Aadhaar is the applicant’s personal Aadhaar, in case of a proprietorship. No further documentation is required. The applicant’s email and a mobile number are, however, required.
