FSSAI ROLE IN FOOD QUALITY

The primary duty of an entrepreneur involved in the edible consumable businesses is to safeguard the quality of the edibles. The government also plays a vital role in bridging the gap between the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and the manufacturers of food products by enforcing rules and regulations based upon the advice of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

The manufacturers of food products also take personal care and caution while dealing with the food products. They regularly conduct safety test on the finished food products to check their quality and even send samples to the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) to establish whether they are following the measures imposed on them or not.

The manufacturers of food products also formulate their own standards, rules for regulating their food products and maintaining their quality and standards. This is done in association with the manufacturers own research and development section and medical personnel.

The workers employed with the manufacturers of food products are also made to undergo strict skill and knowledge in order to deal with these food products so that they deal with them in the right manner.

The sellers associated with the manufacturers of food products also need to impose strict measures in their storage sections and need to adhere by the rules formulated by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) for this purpose so that they can deliver proper goods to the customers.

The customer consuming the food products also has to follow certain norms to ensure that they deal with the food products in a proper manner. The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has enumerated certain measure to be followed by the customers consuming the food products like washing hands before handling food products with soap, storing food products away from sunlight and away from other non-consumable materials, storing open food products in a refrigerator or freezer so that they don’t get degraded in quality, consuming food products after consulting a medical personnel if they suffer from any allergies etc., consuming food products in a specific time period etc. The necessity of these is to see that every person consuming the food products only consumes fresh, proper, healthy and nutrient food products without the circumstance of contamination in it.

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) thus plays a vital role in ascertaining and making sure that each person in India consumes food products which are not contaminated and are healthy for their well-being.
