Asara Pension- Applicability and Utilization process

Telangana government has introduced a new project called Asara pension. The new scheme is to help poor people and the programme has been introduced as a part of welfare measure and net strategy. The main objective of Asara pension is to make sure that the poor people get all their rights and able to receive at least their day to day needs. The daily requirement must be accessible to poor ones’, then only they can have a life with dignity in society and secure. Asara scheme provides all financial support by government, especially it will be really helpful to the ones who are very needful. The following people can claim for Asara pension:

*Old and feeble people

*People who suffer from HIV-AIDS

*dowager

*incapacitated weavers

*Toddy tappers

Applicability for Asara Pension

The following criteria are considered for the applicability of Asara pension. 

Applicability criteria for Old aged women

  • Only people who are above 65 years can apply.
  • Primitive and Vulnerable tribal groups.
  • Only one can apply in a family, the first priority is for women.
  • Landless farmers, rural craftsmen, slum dwellers, the people who earn for their daily needs through doing jobs like porters, coolies, rickshaw and handcart workers, fruit sellers, flowers sellers, snake charmers, rag pickers, cobblers and many more in both rural and urban areas.
  • Homeless people, people who stay in temporary houses, who stay for rent, in proper houses and in nuts can be applied.
  • Widows who take charge of their family, illness one or disabled people, aged one who is above 65 years old who live alone and who don’t have anyone to look after them.

 

Applicability criteria for Widows

  • If the widows are 18 years old or above, she can apply.
  • Primitive and vulnerable tribal groups.
  • Women who look after house who don’t have anyone to take care of the family.
  • Only widow women’s will get a pension.

Applicability for weavers

  • Weavers who are above 50 years or who live in local post address can apply.
  • Primitive and vulnerable tribal groups.
  • Only one adult in a family can apply.
  • The person who applies should be a weaver, either in an urban or rural area.
  • Homeless and people who are living in temporary houses especially small houses made of no proper shelter in rural and urban areas.
  • Widows who take charge of the house, ill or disabled persons, aged ones who are above 65 years and who don’t have anyone look after them. 

Applicability Criteria for Toddy Tapers

  • Only 50 years old and above can apply for the pension.
  • Primitive and Vulnerable tribal groups.
  • Only one adult in a family can apply.
  • The person who applies should be a toddy tapper either in rural areas or urban areas.
  • Homeless and people who are living in temporary houses especially small houses made of no proper shelter in rural and urban areas.
  • Widows who take charge of the house, ill or disabled persons, aged ones who are above 65 years and who don’t have anyone look after them.
  • For approval of pension, the toddy taper should submit documents approved by the cooperative society of toddy tappers. The individual who applies for pension is a registered member of society.

Applicability criteria for a disabled person

  • The pension is given to the disabled person based on their age.
  • Primitive and Vulnerable tribal groups.
  • Women who take care of her house can be applied
  • The Hearing impaired can only apply if disability should be above 51%.
  • Farmers who don’t have lands their own, craftsmen and slum dwellers, etc. who earn for their daily needs can apply.
  • Homeless and people who are living in temporary houses especially small houses made of no proper shelter in rural and urban areas.
  • Widows who take charge of the house, ill or disabled persons, aged ones who are above 65 years and who don’t have anyone look after them.

Documents needed to apply for Asara pension

 

The one who needs pension should submit these documents without fail. Or else the pension will not have sanctioned.

  • Must submit a photo
  • Aadhaar number. (The ones who don’t have this must apply for Aadhaar without fail and should get a one within a span of three months.)
  • Bank account along with IFSC Code of the respective present bank or local post office.
  • Proof for age. If there is no proof. Other document’s like marriage certificates can be submitted.
  • Photo of husbands if the pension is for widows. (If there is a failure in submitting of the death certificate, the panchayat must do a small inquiry without fail. If not, the death certificate can be applied in respective panchayat and it can be obtained. Upload
  • Xerox copy of registration as a proof from the Cooperative society of Toddy Tapers
  • Weavers must submit a Xerox copy of the registration for a proof from the Cooperative society of weavers.
  • It is mandatory to submit SADAREM certificates for the person who are disabled and disabilities with 40% to above 51% to those who have hearing impaired.

 

How to apply for Asara pension? 

Step1: First thing you need to download the application for Asara pension. The form will be available on the official website of the respective Municipal corporation. The form is also available in nearby Meseva Kendra. Those who are not familiar with internet can get the form from there.

 

Step2: Fill the form and attach all documents with Xerox copy as mentioned above.

 

Step3: Those who are applying can handover the form to the following. Either to Grama panchayat or Village revenue officer, who are from rural areas. Those from urban can handover to Bill collector.

 

Step4: These submitted documents will go through Asara pension online portal. The documents will be inspected by Municipal Commissioner along with District collector in the end. The pension will have distributed in the respective category after the process completion along with a photo of the applicant.

 

How to search Asara pensioner details?

The following steps will help you search Asara pensioner details. Follow the following steps.

 

Step1: Search Asara pension in google. Now select the home page of Asara pension from search results.

 

Step2: Now on the left tip you can see “Quick search”. Now click on it and search pensioner details.

 

Step3: This will take a new screen. Now fill all the details like Pension ID and go for the search button.

 

Step4: Don’t worry if you forget your pension ID. We provide an alternate method to access details.

 

Step5:  To access the pension ID, select the respective details like District, Mandal, Panchayat from the drop-down menu.

 

Step6: Now enter details like your name and Head of the family, following click on search.

 

Step7: Now, the details of pensioner will be displayed. Simple right? Yes, it is.

 

 

The Asara pension usually released in between 1st to 7th of every month to the respective individual’s bank account. In bigger Municipalities, the amount is credited directly to the bank account of a pensioner. The pension will be deposited in the local bank or at the post office in rural areas and is released through biometric authentication.
